What is health2.info?

health2.info is a Web 2.0 Health Information Platform. The objective is to provide information about Healthcare relevant stories found around the internet.

health2.info whishes to establish a social web (web 2.0) about Healthcare on different health interests groups (management, technology, public health, etc.), where there is a lot of knowledgement and big ideas but mostly of them are dispersed all around.

health2.info is NOT a scientifical magazine or publication; it’s simply a self generation content platform based on news and founds on the internet related to Healthcare.

health2.info is not responsible on the contents and opinions from the users that freely participate into the portal.

It’s an internet site that allows to move news that will be reviewed by all the community and rest of users and will be, or not, promoted to main page. When a user send a new or story, this will remain in a pendent queue until it gets enough votes (or prescriptions) to be moved to the home page.

What are the main values of health2.info?

There are two relevant things that differentiate health2.info from others news or health information sites:

1. Web 2.0, Social self generated content internet site, related to Health which has also been named as Health 2.0, from this the health2.info part of the name.

2. Stories and news can be in several languages (English, Spanish, German, French, etc.)

That makes health2.info the first Health 2.0 news and story information share system participated and maintained by users.

How to promote stories?

Pick the option queued links and there will appear all the posted stories pending to be promoted to the main page ordered in descendent order by date, then, you can vote (Prescribe) for the most important for you. Once the link has enough votes the link will appear into the main page.

The best way to promote your stories is making friends. So vote other news, comment what you agree or suggest to other users and pick the heart button of any user to add him/her as friend.

Sending stories and news

You must register, it's easy and quick. Then, pick send new. Based on an easy 3-step system your link to a story will appear on the queued links page pending to be voted and promoted to the main page.

Stories to submit

Any new o story that you consider relevant can be relevant for the community. The community (users) will review the news and will vote (Prescribe) them or not. The community will decide if a story or new promoting a blog, site or a commercial name will be voted or not.

Use the common sense, collaborative spirit, respect to others for the common objective to share knowledgement and expertise on Healthcare that, believe it or not, is and will be relevant to all of us.

There is not a ethical code neither political of use. The community and other users will create their own one by voting positive or negative the published contents. It’s not forbidden the use of commercial trademarks, neither the promotion of successful projects and case studies.

Submit stories what you really think are relevant to the community and your karma will be increased by having more votes.

It shows all is happening inside health2.info in real time. Like in a real hospital, theater is a focus on activity.

How stories are classified?

There is a first level of classification based on the Story language (English, Spanish, French, German, etc.).

In each language, the user can select one between next 15 subcategories to classify the story or new:

4.Healthcare organizations and hospitals: News about Healthcare organizations,

5.Health IT: News related to technology and IT implementation in healthcare: Information Systems, innovation, hardware, technology

8.Medical advances: Medical discoveries, advances, interesting projects

9.Phamaceutical industry: News about medications or anything related to pharmaceutical industry

11.Disasters: News on natural or human disasters. A classic example is an earthquake that causes a tsunami, resulting in coastal flooding
